A few people on the xen mailing have been talking about: http://www.asplund.nu/xencluster/xen-cluster-howto.html It talks about running DRBD on top of LVM. Is the above method faster then running LVM on top of DRBD? The biggest downside of the above howto I can see is that you must configure DRBD for every DomU. So what is best out of the three? Disk > Partition > DRBD > LVM > xen phy:{lvm lv} Disk > Partition > LVM > DRBD > xen drbd:{drbd disk} Of since I don't think you can resize if you put DRBD on LVM, just: Disk > Partition > DRBD > xen drbd:{drbd disk} I know they all must be faster then what I am doing now: Disk > Partition > DRBD > LVM > gfs > xen tap:aio{file} ><> Nathan Stratton CTO, BlinkMind, Inc. nathan at robotics.net nathan at blinkmind.com http://www.robotics.net http://www.blinkmind.com
