Okay, I think I understand better, thank you for clarifying. I spoke about it with the other engineer involved and we think we are going to automate it but first put in some pre-checks before it sends an alert out. Im not sure what those are yet, but with the snmp mod, nagios snap in, and the info coming from the /proc/drbd I think we will be able to 'validate' that it should become primary and then have the script start it else send us an email alert for notification.
