Because it is just a number and 4 is the next major one, who cares. As
it deals with a new API, one could even argue semantic versioning. If I
would name it 6 I'm sure one would show up and ask "OMG, it is 6, why
did you drop PVE5 support????!" :D

And now to some real problems...
