Note: "permalinks" may not be as permanent as we would like,
direct links of old sources may well be a few messages off.

That is pretty easy, there is no special Linbit <-> Debian channel or
what ever. We upstream kernel changes regularly and if there is
something critical, we follow kernel practices, and "CC stable". Debian
then does whatever they do. (Debian user myself and I think they do a
good job).

For user space we are one of thousands of other projects where
downstream ($distribution) does whatever they feel like. Maybe they
backport things, maybe not. Maybe they do it on their own, maybe you
need to file a bugreport. They hopefully care about their distribution,
read release notes, maybe even commit messages, and don't ship buggy
software. We care about our customers and package for them.
