Using the drbd-9.0.0rc2.tar.gz from oss.linbit.com,on CentOS release 6.6 (Final) , 6.2.6.32-504.8.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux, The makefile does not build the km-rpm option, it faults with
++ scripts/get_uts_release.sh
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.lPAXL5: line 41: scripts/get_uts_release.sh: No such file or directory
+ test '' = 2.6.32-504.8.1.el6.x86_64
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.lPAXL5 (%prep)

BTW the build documentation for drbd-9.0.0rc2.tar.gz ,is mostly/completely out of date on the http://drbd.linbit.com/users-guide-9.0

(Question) drbd-utils-8.9.2rc4.tar.gz builds ok, but seems to contain pre7 drbd 9 rpms, so I guess I install this first then to make install for the rc2 km ?

(Question) The docbook chain in fedora, is cleanly defined (eclipse/development group packages), but the equivalent chain in CentOS/RHEL 6x does not seem to exist as a clean set of rpms, this prevents me from building from a GIT checkout, as I dont know what the docbook chain should be under that environment, can you elaborate for that platform ?

(Question) Does the drbd-9.0 kmod have the ability (yet?) to provide a generic KMOD - not coupled to the kernel version ? (Limitation- obviously CentOS/RHEL 6.2+)

Thanks
Chuck Smith
