Do you mean , when i access /dev/cciss/c0d0p2 instead of /dev/drdb0.
If so yes accessing /dev/cciss/c0d0p2 is a lot faster.

With protocol A that does not make a lot of sense. So using the lowlevel 
device directly in stead of the DRBD resource gives you a noticeable 
performance boost?
