Hello, Im trying to use drbd 0.7.21 on 2 Dell PowerEdge 1800 with SCSI devices, 2 Gigabit NIC's and 2Gb of RAM, but I have some problems with 'status' when one node (that failed) try to became a master.. Preferred maste is 'server1' and slave 'server2'.. Okey, I will figure out my environment and troubles: - /dev/drbd0 is a 20Gb partition (ext3) of postgresql database (mountpoint is /data); - /dev/drbd1 is a 512Mb partition (ext3) of pg_xlog (mountpoint of pg_xlog is under /data/pg_xlog); After initial configuration 'server1' and 'server2' works fine: Primary/Secondary and Secondary/Primary. If 'server2' reboots all data is perfectly synchronized when it starts again... Ok, my problem is when 'server1' goes down and _later_ returns to takeover 'server2' services... Connection status on 'server2' stay with 'StandAlone' and 'st' Secondary/Unknown. 'server1' starts with "wfc-timeout prompt" and doesnt find (drbd point of view) 'server2' anymore.. Connection status is 'WFConnection' and 'st' is Primary/Unknown. Now I got some errors (error_1.txt) that may be occur in consequence of network problems, but network is okey (ping -s 655507 -f node returns 0% of packet loss). Ah, Im using keepalived to guarantee IP address redundancy and notify_master and notify_backup parameters to call heartbeat scripts (such as drbddisk and Filesystem), Im not using heartbeat because I got a lot of 'warnings' contain 'server1 is dead' that cause server2 to takeover server1 resources and consequence is: database corrupted, unfortunately. My configurations is attached below, maybe Im wrong with some parameters or something else. Hmm, finally, I have some kernel tunings (via sysctl) that affects directly shared memory, tcp options, filesystem options and other things. Can anyone help me?
