The bio_clone bug was introduced in kernel version 2.6.11-rc2 (see 
http://lkml.org/lkml/2005/7/28/230) and fixed in 2.6.12.4 so it wouldn't be a 
miracle it's working in 2.6.10 without fix and not working in 2.6.11.12...
