HI, I have 2 x HP DL380 with 6 x 72GB HPL with RAID 5 RHEL AS 3 DRBD 0.7.10 Heart Beat 1.2.3-2 After the installation, when I start the services, both servers gets in secondary mode. Hoe do I make one of them to boot in Primary and other one in secondary. I'll really appreciate any help, since I am way behind my schedule. I am trying to fix this issue for past 10 days without success. ************ PRIMARY drbd driver loaded OK; device status: version: 0.7.10 (api:77/proto:74) SVN Revision: 1743 build by root at acbl1, 2005-04-14 17:07:56 0: cs:Connected st:Secondary/Secondary ld:Consistent ns:0 nr:0 dw:0 dr:0 al:0 bm:0 lo:0 pe:0 ua:0 ap:0 ************ SECONDARY drbd driver loaded OK; device status: version: 0.7.10 (api:77/proto:74) SVN Revision: 1743 build by root at acbl2, 2005-04-14 03:17:57 0: cs:Connected st:Secondary/Secondary ld:Consistent ns:0 nr:0 dw:0 dr:0 al:0 bm:0 lo:0 pe:0 ua:0 ap:0 ************* DRBD.CONF (same for both the servers) resource acbl { protocol B; incon-degr-cmd "halt -f"; syncer { rate 500M; } on acbl1 { device /dev/drbd0; disk /dev/cciss/c0d0p8; address 10.10.1.1:7789; meta-disk internal; } on acbl2 { device /dev/drbd0; disk /dev/cciss/c0d0p8; address 10.10.1.2:7789; meta-disk internal; } } ******* HARESOURCES (Same for both the servers acbl1 192.168.100.43 drbddisk::drbd0 Filesystem::/dev/drbd0::/data::ext3 ********** DRBDDISK (In Original format) ********** /var/log/HA-LOG (primary) heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:25 info: pid 1641 locked in memory. heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:25 info: Local status now set to: 'up' heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: pid 1656 locked in memory. heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: pid 1657 locked in memory. heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: pid 1658 locked in memory. heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Link acbl1:eth0 up. heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Link acbl2:eth0 up. heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Status update for node acbl2: status up heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Local status now set to: 'active' heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Status update for node acbl2: status active heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Running /etc/ha.d/rc.d/status status heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Local Resource acquisition completed. heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Initial resource acquisition complete (req_ our_resources) heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Running /etc/ha.d/rc.d/status status heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Running /etc/ha.d/rc.d/ip-request-resp ip-r equest-resp heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 received ip-request-resp 192.168.100.43 OK yes heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Acquiring resource group: acbl1 192.168.100 .43 drbddisk::drbd0 Filesystem::/dev/drbd0::/data::ext3 heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Running /etc/ha.d/resource.d/IPaddr 192.168 .100.43 start heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: /sbin/ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.100.43 netmas k 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.100.255 heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Sending Gratuitous Arp for 192.168.100.43 o n eth0:0 [eth0] heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 /usr/lib/heartbeat/send_arp -i 1010 -r 5 -p /var/ lib/heartbeat/rsctmp/send_arp/send_arp-192.168.100.43 eth0 192.168.100.43 auto 1 92.168.100.43 ffffffffffff heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:26 info: Running /etc/ha.d/resource.d/drbddisk drbd0 start heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:31 ERROR: Return code 20 from /etc/ha.d/resource.d/d rbddisk heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:31 info: Running /etc/ha.d/resource.d/Filesystem /de v/drbd0 /data ext3 start heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:31 ERROR: Couldn't mount filesystem /dev/drbd0 on /d ata heartbeat: 2005/04/20_09:42:31 ERROR: Return code 1 from /etc/ha.d/resource.d/Fi lesystem *********** /var/log/MESSAGES (primary) Apr 20 09:42:24 acbl1 kernel: drbd0: Connection established.
