I know that XFS/DRBD works nice on Linux-2.6.x.
I do not know if XFS/DRBD works on Linux-2.4.x.
  => The chances are high, but I have not tested it.
     I do not know. 

If you try the XFS/DRBD/Linux-2.4.x combination, please
let us know!
