Hello all, I'm planning to setup a high-availability and replicated network block devices on a Mandrake Linux 10.1 Official system using ReiserFS-3.6 on all LVM2 partitions. I have 2 identical low-end custom built PC servers with 2 units of 40GB 7200RPM IDE HDD, 1.5GB RAM and Intel Celeron 1.7Ghz processor. I already installed the following packages: kernel-i586-up-1GB-2.6.8.1.12mdk-1-1mdk heartbeat-1.2.2-2mdk heartbeat-stonith-1.2.2-2mdk heartbeat-pils-1.2.2-2mdk heartbeat-ldirectord-1.2.2-2mdk libheartbeat0-1.2.2-2mdk libheartbeat-stonith0-1.2.2-2mdk libheartbeat-pils0-1.2.2-2mdk drbd-module-2.6.8.1_12mdk_i586_up_1GB-0.7.6-3 drbd-0.7.6-3 So far, my heartbeat setup is working well but with DRBD, I'm still confused and don't understand the right configuration for my setup. I hope you don't mind if I'm asking you newbie questions. All I want is to make my LVM2 partitions (/dev/hda4 and /dev/hdb1) mirrors to the second node. You can find relevant information below about my current setup. Anybody can help me or advice on what to put on my /etc/drbd.conf and /etc/ha.d/hareresources? I really don't understand the post of Mr. Lars Ellenberg at http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.network.drbd/6175 especially the phrase "LVM2 on top of DRBD".
