/ 2004-04-20 16:15:26 -0500 \ Todd Denniston: [ confirmed that 2135 works ] I'm pretty sure that 2115 works, too. I mean: sched.h:6: invalid suffix on integer constant ... is as bogus as a kernel build error message can get, no? which makes me think there is something heavily screwed up on that box. > cd /usr/src/linux-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl > cp /boot/config-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl .config > > #Lars NOTE: it's config-2.4.some-thing not kernel-2.4.some-thing.config > # at least under fedora. Ok. I don't have RH nor fedora here. What I did was download the kernel-source.rpm and then kernel.src.rpm, and look at the content and spec file. In the kernel.src.rpm, there are loads of kernel-<version>-<flavor>.config files, so I thought this is some "standard" there. > I do not know why the Install file uses `make -s oldconfig_nonint` but `make > oldconfig;make oldconfig` has always worked for me. Lars comment? the difference is: oldconfig is interactive, oldconfig_nonint is non-interactive, thus the name. again, only copied from the spec file. I think basically the same as yes "" | make oldconfig > --- INSTALL.orig 2004-04-20 16:01:35.000000000 -0500 > +++ INSTALL 2004-04-20 16:09:36.000000000 -0500 thanks. will go into CVS soonish. lge
