Quick answer: yes.

Long answer: maybe.  It depends on a lot of unstated requirements, but
for a reasonable volume mail server running Postfix I have found DRBD to
be a perfectly acceptable solution.  Volume was a bit less than 30,000
messages a day, so nothing too huge, but it wasn't close to capacity
either...
