[DRBD-user] drbd version 0.7.4 on redhat AS 2.4.9-e.49

Thanks for the help so far,
Question is it possible to install drbd 0.7.4 on a redhat Advanced Server with kernel 2.4.9-e.49 without upgrading the kernel.

Redhat will now support kernel upgrades, and don't seem to be able to get the source to compile without adding new kernel ? If so what needs to be done

It literally means 'rebuild your linux kernel' - the core of the 
operating system.  You'll have to install it too.. perhaps not the 
easiest thing to do if you're new to Linux.

Recompiling your kernel & getting DRBD up & running by compiling from 
source will be difficult if you've never compiled anything on Linux 
before...  I suggest you do some reading.  This may help you get
