Thank you Trevor/Digimer.

I cannot goahead and use the latest CentOS.

Am running one application in CentOS 6.3 (My Appln will support only 6.3).

But my requirement is to upgrade the kernal (2.6.32-279.9.1.el6.x86_64) . Whether existing drbd version(drbd-kmdl-2.6.32-279.el6-8.3.11-31.el6.x86_64) will support for this Upgraded kernal or i need to upgrade my drbd version seperately?

Thanks,

Madhan.

To add to Trevor's comments;

  *Most* cases, you can do a clean update from 8.3 to 8.4, but a few
things did change. If you must stay on 8.3, upgrade to the latest 8.3.16
(or 8.3.17, if it was released).

  In any case, you should always have a test cluster. If you don't,
please create one (even in VMs is better than nothing) to match the
current version of your cluster and test the upgrade there first. We
will never know your environment well enough to say "this is safe".

  If you want commercial support, LINBIT (the company behind DRBD)
offers commercial support and official releases.
