I'm aware of RAID features, but benefit of using DRBD (as I can
understand from description) is the fact, that read/write operations
from the client goes only to the block device on the active node,
while sync is ongoing in background to the second node.

OK, I can easily create an IP alias, it's not a problem. But let me
rephrase the question:
- if I create IP aliases, can I run "active node" and "secondary node"
DRBD daemons/services/drivers on the same host?
