Yes, I am. I do use Heartbeat even though it is outdated. My server farm is not complex and simple configurations work for me. I'll probably move to Pacemaker in the future but for now I have a working cluster. In fact, my primary server abended a couple of times already and failover was seamless. I had to look at the monitor (which I do weekly) to see that something happened. I sent you a note straight to your e-mail address; where I requested a copy of your haresources file. Without a full copy it is impossible to tell if an optimization is possible. I am planning to test with your fix. Are you talking about the file "/etc/ha.d/ haresources" that you have done code changes to solve the issue ? Can you please let me know what changes u made and if changes in any files other than "/etc/ha.d/ haresources" are required ? Thanks in anticipation. Heartbeat was commanding DRBD to unmount/detach a filesystem when a key service was not yet shut down. Once I cleared that up not only did the messages go away but failover occurs within 2-3 seconds! -- View this message in context: http://drbd.10923.n7.nabble.com/State-change-failed-Device-is-held-open-by-s omeone-tp11250p17532.html Sent from the DRBD - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ drbd-user mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.linbit.com/mailman/listinfo/drbd-user ============================================================================ === Please refer to http://www.aricent.com/legal/email_disclaimer.html for important disclosures regarding this electronic communication. ============================================================================ === _______________________________________________ drbd-user mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.linbit.com/mailman/listinfo/drbd-user _____ If you reply to this email, your message will be added to the discussion below: http://drbd.10923.n7.nabble.com/State-change-failed-Device-is-held-open-by-s omeone-tp11250p17534.html To unsubscribe from State change failed: Device is held open by someone, click here <http://drbd.10923.n7.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=unsubscribe_ by_code&node=11250&code=aW5mb0B3b29sZmNvbXB1dGluZy5jb218MTEyNTB8LTEwNjYxMzkz Mg==> . <http://drbd.10923.n7.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=macro_viewer &id=instant_html%21nabble%3Aemail.naml&base=nabble.naml.namespaces.BasicName space-nabble.view.web.template.NabbleNamespace-nabble.view.web.template.Node Namespace&breadcrumbs=notify_subscribers%21nabble%3Aemail.naml-instant_email s%21nabble%3Aemail.naml-send_instant_email%21nabble%3Aemail.naml> NAML -- View this message in context: http://drbd.10923.n7.nabble.com/State-change-failed-Device-is-held-open-by-someone-tp11250p17545.html Sent from the DRBD - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
