[DRBD-user] mkfs on /dev/drbd0 crashes host

Some more info. Nothing on the console or in any logs as the server freezes
in its track. Nothing in dmesg/system/kern logs. Have to reboot the
(virtual) machine. 

drbd : 8.3.11 (api:88/proto 86-96)
