Well, I crashed and burned.  After figuring out some configuration  
differences between 8.2.6 and 8.3.11 I am unable to sync the two  
systems.  Should these two versions be able to talk to each other or  
have I overlooked something obvious?

I thought I'd ask the simple question before I post lots of output and  
configs to the list.

I'll attach the primary (older 8.2.6 version) output since it seems  
most relevant
