Hi Etienne Quite simple, after setting up the resources in /etc/drbd.conf (you can already add the entries for rthe second node there), load the module with modprobe drbd, create the metadata with drbdadm create-md all, then start up the resources with drbdadm up all, then promote it with drbdadm -- --overwrite-data-of-peer primary all. Then you can go ahead and use the DRBD-devices in any way needed. When the other node is available, copy over the config, create metadata on slave, start up drbd, It should start to sync immediately after that. The issue is, I would like DRBD setup on the machine so that when the other one arrives I can connect them and have the second machine up in no time. How would you configure this, ie make DRBD ignore its peer until I have the second machine.
