direct links of old sources may well be a few messages off.

Digi,

I tried what you suggested, and set the syncer rate to 30M but I'm still
not syncing past 2MB/s.

Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

The sync operation is not designed to go at max speed, as the array is
totally usable while not sync'ed. If you know that you're not needing
the bandwidth for other disk apps and want to increase the speed of the
sync, either (temporarily) add:

common {
	# Your other vars plus...
         syncer { rate 33M; }
}

You can increase that to whatever you want. There is also a command-line

call to temporarily up the sync rate as well, though it's syntax escapes

me just now.
