Hi there. We have a 2 server setup running heartbeat and DRBD. Myself and another colleague have recently inherited this system and are trying to troubleshoot it. The person who previously looked after this system has left the company and we're a bit confused over the setup. Been reading through google searches and docs . Anyways, these are very high load servers and we are migrating to a new platform in the coming weeks - thankfully. The problem is that a fail over condition occurred last week and since then the primary server and the secondary server don't see each other. This doesn't appear to be a split-brain scenario. Secondary Server doesn't see the primary - looks like it's waiting for a connection.. version: 8.2.1 (api:86/proto:86-87) GIT-hash: 318925802fc2638479ad090b73d7af45503dd184 build by xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, 2007-12-13 08:44:02 0: cs:WFConnection st:Secondary/Unknown ds:UpToDate/Outdated C r--- ns:0 nr:0 dw:0 dr:0 al:0 bm:220 lo:0 pe:0 ua:0 ap:0 resync: used:0/31 hits:0 misses:0 starving:0 dirty:0 changed:0 act_log: used:0/257 hits:0 misses:0 starving:0 dirty:0 changed:0 Primary Server doesn't see secondary so has gone to standalone state version: 8.2.1 (api:86/proto:86-87) GIT-hash: 318925802fc2638479ad090b73d7af45503dd184 build by xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, 2007-12-13 08:12:36 0: cs:StandAlone st:Primary/Unknown ds:UpToDate/Outdated r--- ns:0 nr:0 dw:323319712 dr:171153901 al:3134034 bm:3134246 lo:0 pe:0 ua:0 ap:0 resync: used:0/31 hits:0 misses:0 starving:0 dirty:0 changed:0 act_log: used:0/257 hits:77695894 misses:9721427 starving:0 dirty:6587393 changed:3134034 Between these two servers is a private point to point Ethernet link that has no problems passing traffic, so network communication doesn't appear to be the issue. I want the primary server to remain primary but am concerned the secondary server will not try to come online no matter what I've tried. Being new to drbd I'm sure it's just me ;) Suggestions?
