Hi, We are running DRBD 8.2.0 on a pair of servers. Each server has a 1.3TB disk for DRBD. The servers are connected over a WAN. A problem we are having is that whenever we stop the secondary DRBD, the node locks up. The only way out of this is recycle the power. We do not have this problem with other pairs of servers running DRBD 0.7.14 with much smaller disks. We don't know it is the DRBD version or the disk sizes that make the difference. I have two questions: 1. Upgrading from 8.2 to 8.3 does not necessitate re-generating the meta data on the disks, is that true? 2. Can we upgrade the secondary to 8.3 and synchronize it with the primary node running 8.2? The reason we want to do this is that the primary server will not be stopped and the services it provides will not be interrupted. Thank you for your advice. John Du
