Just wanted to let the list know that I made tremendous improvements with my performance issues. I'm using RHEL5 and before I just installed DRBD using yum. The only package availabe was 8.0.13 and the performance was very bad. I know manually removed this version and installed 8.3.1 and the performance is really good. Before I had a throughput of max 8 MB/s when writing large files to the DRBD partition, now I got 60 MB/s. I still have to do a bit of testing to see how the performance is with a real application but for everyone who uses RHEL5 I can just say one thing: Stay away from the old DRBD version which you can install via yum! Download 8.3.1 and build it yourself (works like a charm and doesn't take more then 2 minutes)! Regards, Tobi
