[DRBD-user] Single Primary with Missing Secondary

Note: "permalinks" may not be as permanent as we would like,
direct links of old sources may well be a few messages off.

Dear David,

you can build the primary node and then use

drbdsetup /dev/drbdx primary -o

that will force the node to come up and be primary.

We do that on regular basis, e.g. when reinstalling redundant systems.

Can you please tell me which error message you exactly get when trying to
force it to be primary ?

Soeren

Hi Niko,

May i know your drbd version?
I've tried this before on 8.2.5 and it can't be done.
When i force drbd to be a primary, the error message appear said that
at least need 2 node to make it done.
