Just my 2¢: I did a git checkout a few days ago
and things seem to work ok:
git clone git://git.drbd.org/drbd-8.2
cd drbd-8.2/
make clean all
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -b -uc
cd ..
dpkg -i drbd8-module-source_8.2.5-0_all.deb \
drbd8-utils_8.2.5-0_i386.deb
m-a a-i drbd8
Seems to work on my antediluvian Dell 1650s (!) running debian/etch 2.6.22.2-i686-smp
Right now they are performing some initial sync:
