[DRBD-user] "out of range md access!" errors ?

Here is a snippet from our logs when drbd was restarted :

to my unskilled eyes this would appear to be an issue with the metadata
being too small perhaps ?

in any event, it seems the two nodes have synchronised fine - on the
second node I stopped drbd and ran a fsck.reiserfs on the underlying
block device to drbd. There were no errors.

However I'm a bit alarmed at these errors. What exactly might be the
cause ?
