Hi norbert, Yes we are using InnoDB.We have reduced the binlog file size to 256MB from 512MB. However changing this has had no change in db recovery timing.So we got a suggestion that We go for protocol B. As that should increase the speed for InnoDb recovery, inturn getting DB up fast. Are you using InnoDB tables and transactions? If so, check the MySQL logfile, rolling back transactions could take a while.
