If you do so, much more people would read your questions and you would maybe already have an answer. So I'll try to answer your questions short. Unfortunately I do not know a lot about your configuration...so I can only speculate... First mail: 1.) drbdadm create-md resourcename looks good. You're coming from DRBD 0.7, so maybe you already have meta-data and creating new results in an error. 2.) I do not know exactly, maybe Lars can answer this ;) I only know, that you must have this. 3.) For an existing system you don't need to create meta-data, because you already have meta-data. For a new system you create meta-data with the command above. Second mail: 1.) You can find dopd in /usr/lib/heartbeat. 2.) Dunno 3.) I never used 0.7, so I have to delegate this question to the list, too.
