Hello DRBD-Users :), Two days ago I started to try to get DRBD running and I'm not ready yet :( I read lots of Howtos and installed lots of RPMs from different repositories. I also tried to compile my own kernel-module, but this failed with error. I'm not (yet ;) ) a Linux-Specialist, it's the first time of my life that I post in such a mailinglist (so I don't know anything about behaviour or something like that) and my english is also not very good. But I hope, you'll help me. :) I've got 2 machines running with RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 [uname -a says: 2.6.18-8.el5] I found some RPMs for other kernel versions and (in my desperation) installed them. I am able to execute drbdadm, drbdmeta and drbdsetup tools, but when I say /etc/init.d/drbd start, he says "Can not load the drbd module". So obviously the kernel module is still missing. How do I get this module into my Kernel? I think the best hint until now was this site: http://www.stefanocislaghi.it/2008/02/05/drbd-for-redhat-enterprise/ I installed both RPMs and found that drbd.ko in the mentioned path. But I don't know where to copy it. I hope anyone will hive me some hints to get this running. btw: The actual (old) machines are only for testing purposes. The new machines will come next week (or so) and I wanted to test this before I make the real installation.
