[DRBD-user] Use the UUID of a blockdevice to identify it as a DRBD-device

Dear list,

I'm using DRBD for quite a while now and I'm about to restructure my
installation a little bit. I'm currently thinking about removing a few
virtual hard disks (my drbd setup runs very fine in VMware Server).
The problem with removing and adding hard disks is that it's likely
that the device names move one up or down.
It would be very convenient if it would be possible to use the UUID of
a partition/blockdevice to identify it in the device section of
drbd.conf. Comparable to the UUID=-tag in /etc/fstab used by more
recent distributions.
Is this something that may be added to drbd?

Maybe it's possible to rename the drbd devices with udev, but since
all my tries to actually use udev with custom entries and scripts are
a total fail, i'd like to ask is anybody here uses udev with renaming
for his/her drbd devices. Anyone?

Thank you for readind and goodbye,
  juergen
