Thanks for the information. I understand that the data is inconsistent but it happened to me that I'm syncing say 600GB data on one volume when the I need to stop the disk and I don't want the sync to go on anymore. Before stopping the disk, I have to stop the sync. So a way to stop the full sync _and_ later return to having a consistent, redundant data set would be this (on current SyncTarget): drbdadm down <resource> drbdadm invalidate <resource> drbdadm up <resource> Of course, though, that earns you yet another full sync, so it seems like a pointless exercise to me.
