I briefly booted the newer linux-image-2.6.18-5-xen-686 2.6.18.dfsg.1-13etch1, but that one panicked even during bootup (not sure if it's because of drbd8, couldn't investigate further). drbd modules are compiled from the Debian package and are currently drbd8-module-2.6.18-4-xen-686 8.0.4-1+2.6.18.dfsg.1-12etch2, i.e. a fairly recent version. > do you have the netlink connector enabled? > does the kernel contain this: > 7644d8b697ad46a666be8d254e4f89fd6a4b5b3e Fix callback bug in connector No idea, I did not compile it from source.
