you could backport that patch.
or wait until someone does the backport for you.

that someone would likely be me,
I already announced to ocfs2-dev as well as Adrian Bunk
(2.6.16.y.git maintainer) that I'm working on such a backport.

but, as you know, there is only so much time in a day...
