I use drbd in active/active mode in production with GSF on a Fedora Core 5 to share /home My setup is : 2 nodes with 6 SCSI hard drive in hardware RAID 5. (HP DL 385) Fedora Core 5 / vmlinuz-2.6.17-1.2157_FC5smp lvm2 2.02.01 drbd 8.0pre4 gfs 6.1.5 This configuration works well because the files reached by the nodes are in different directories, then the distributed lock manager (DLM) is not a bottleneck. When file are in the same directory, I see very long delay until completion of file operations. Then I'm not sure drbd in active/active mode is good for a mail spool. I hope GF2 will be better and faster. Librement, -- Christophe Merlet (RedFox)
