Probably The steps I had to go through were roughly as follows 1) download kernel source 2) configure 3) build & install bzImage and initrd, reboot new kernel 4) repeat steps 2&3 until I got a working bootable kernel 5) build and install drbd module for the kernel I was running. Modules are very kernel specific to the extent that one of our /lib/modules directories has the following module directories 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 2.6.18-1.2849.fc6 rafe ________________________________ From: drbd-user-bounces at lists.linbit.com [mailto:drbd-user-bounces at lists.linbit.com] On Behalf Of Kamran Nisar Sent: 29 November 2006 11:15 To: Leroy van Logchem Cc: drbd-user at lists.linbit.com Subject: Re: [DRBD-user] drbd device nopes. nuthing worked...same error.. there are a few things, pls take a moment and let me know if that could be cause of the problem my uname -r output shows version 2.6.16.13-4 , there was no source code avaiblae so i compiled aginst the source od 2.6.16.13.. would that be screwing up things ?
