OK, I'll give in to the troll...

Speaking as someone who runs a _very_ large Linux and Solaris 
environment, the answer is "no, not if you need your servers to be very 
stable". Linux still has significantly more issues than Solaris in 
production, especially under heavy memory pressure.

Of course I did just discover that the LSI U320 SCSI driver is broken 
under heavy I/O load last night, so my bitterness may be at a higher 
level than usual...
