Hello,

I got DRBD installed on a x86_64 system with Novell's Boxed SUSE 10.0.
I used the "Quick start guide for DRBD 7-0", including the README and
INSTALL. I then installed the newly generated RPM. (Before the RPM
installation, drbdadm was not found by the command line commands). On
the command line section on page 2, all worked up to the cmd='modprobe
drbd; ....'

Excecuting the last few commands, before the point "The excerpt from
dmesg (or syslog) ..." deliver the following screen output:

L10-4:~ # left=10.9.8.3
L10-4:~ # right=10.9.8.4
L10-4:~ # cmd='modprobe drbd; drbdadm up all; dmesg | tail; cat /proc/drbd'

L10-4:/usr/src/drbd-0.7.14/scripts # scp drbd.conf $left:/etc/drbd.conf
Password:
drbd.conf
                       100% 10KB 10.4KB/s 00:00

L10-4:/usr/src/drbd-0.7.14/scripts # scp drbd.conf $left:/etc/drbd.conf
Password:
drbd.conf
                       100% 10KB 10.4KB/s 00:00

(Changed part of the example script is below)

Now the commands:

So, what do I do now? The Gigabit connection works well, as I
communicate with the servers via VNC over it as well as synch. I've
stopped and started drbd a few times and redid the command line steps
again, to no avail.

Any help is welcome. Thanx a lot ...

:-)
Al

My drbd.conf file (only the edited part of the example):

Up to this point no changes. ...
