Note: "permalinks" may not be as permanent as we would like,
direct links of old sources may well be a few messages off.

I maintain a production system that supports the POS system of a local
hypermart that has been running 24/7 since Q2 2004. We use DRBD and
Heartbeat, on Debian GNU/Linux. At present we're using Linux kernel
2.4.27 and DRBD 0.6.12, with ext3 as the filesystem on top of DRBD.

The primary services of this cluster are PostgreSQL, DHCP, and NFS (in
that order of priority and traffic). We are very happy with the setup
with respect to reliability.

I have not tested the latest version of DRBD with XFS as the filesystem,
though. XFS is my filesystem for choice for all our other machines that
don't use DRBD. Feedback from anybody using XFS on top of DRBD with
positive or negative results would be most appreciated.
