on both nodes it says:
lsmod | grep drbd
drbd 156400 3

I use it with heartbeat, so I do not use the default init script.

on the first node:
ps aux | grep drbd
root 27410 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S 19:32 0:00
[drbd0_worker]
root 29735 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S 20:28 0:00
[drbd1_worker]
root 29736 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S 20:28 0:00
[drbd1_receiver]

on the second one:
ps aux | grep drbd
root 7248 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S Dec15 0:00
[drbd1_worker]
root 17484 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S 20:28 0:00
[drbd0_worker]
root 17485 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? S 20:28 0:00
[drbd0_receiver]

I use debian sarge on both systems.
I can ping the other node and vice versa.
All interfaces are configured during boot (/etc/network/interfaces)

The thing is, that there was a reboot, because a daemon, running on one of
the shares, did not exit fast enough and my system was forced to reboot.
