I asked this question once, it just I added my log files in my second post in same thread. I am using heartbeat and every thing is configured nicely, except that one of the servers does not come primary and I have to do it manually, by "drbdadm primary all". -----Original Message----- From: drbd-user-bounces at lists.linbit.com [mailto:drbd-user-bounces at lists.linbit.com] On Behalf Of Lars Ellenberg Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2005 5:45 PM To: drbd-user at lists.linbit.com Subject: Re: [DRBD-user] RE: secondary/secondary / 2005-04-20 09:55:20 +0500 \ Umair Siddiqi: > > HI, > > I have > > 2 x HP DL380 with 6 x 72GB HPL with RAID > 5 > RHEL AS 3 > DRBD 0.7.10 > Heart Beat 1.2.3-2 > > After the installation, when I start the > services, both servers gets in secondary mode. I see you asked this question multiple times. see, DRBD is _supposed_ to start in secondary mode. thats why you need some kind of cluster manager. I think most people on this list use heartbeat. which allso manages other services, like failing over IPs, mounting the shared file systems, starting the file/web/mail/whatever daemons etc. hth.
