[DRBD-user] 0.6 vs. 0.7 3ware performance? [Was: Expected sync speed for a 425gb volume?]

Note: "permalinks" may not be as permanent as we would like,
direct links of old sources may well be a few messages off.

Hmm, yeah, I dropped back to 2.4.27 with DRBD 0.6.12:

1: cs:SyncingAll st:Primary/Secondary ns:18846540 nr:0 dw:0 dr:18846540 pe:766 ua:0
        [=>..................] sync'ed:  7.6% (225735/244140)M
        finish: 0:59:35h speed: 65,748 (60,021) K/sec

It's a lot smaller array (didn't take the time to figure out how large it
was), but that's a *lot* better sync speed.

Installed drbd 0.7 on the same kernel, set up the mirror, and I get:

 0: cs:SyncSource st:Primary/Secondary ld:Consistent
    ns:160428 nr:0 dw:0 dr:176812 al:0 bm:27462 lo:0 pe:1070 ua:4096 ap:0
        [>...................] sync'ed:  0.1% (439106/439259)M
        finish: 22:39:48 speed: 5,472 (5,384) K/sec

So, a few questions:

1) Any idea why this is? Is there any debugging I can do to help? (These
boxes aren't live, but will be in a week or so.)

2) If there isn't an immediate fix for this, what should I do for my 0.6
install to make it easier to move to 0.7 when this problem is figured out?
