I must admit that I never read the manpages too closely.
that bit about "always use negative... otherwise primary"
is a leftover from the 0.6 days, and is just wrong in 0.7.
it will no longer make itself primary, never.
and, btw, if the doc had been correct, "-1" had meant wait at most one
second. thats nonsense. you don't want that. really.
