syncing was the problem, making the r/w access to the underlying device
REALLY REALLY slow. Please can you point out from the configuration below
what could have led to such a loss of speed:
Node #1 Node #2
CPU AMD Athlon 1200Mhz Intel Celeron 1200Mhz
NIC Ethernet 10/100Mbps Ethernet 10/100Mbps
Device 46Gb 46Gb
Reiserfs ----
OS RedHat 7.3 RedHat 7.3
This can't happen in a production environment! Of course, we will use a
dedicated 1Gbps connection between the 2 production nodes, and we will
better fine-tune partition sizes.
Thanks in advance,
Régis

Subject: [DRBD-user] File operations still hanging
Hi,
I went on installing drbd 0.6.12 yesterday, as we plan to build a clustered
internet infrastructure. Everything was fine. I followed step-by-step guide
on home page, and then "Data Redundancy by DRBD" and got to "Testing".
The secondary server is currently syncing (spent the whole night, but I
guess my LAN is the purpose), I ran datadisk on the primary server and it
was ok, but for after that I have just done a "ls" (/dev/nb0 is mounted on
/home) and it's still hanging (actually, its state is in "uninterruptable
sleep").
I wonder if this is because of the syncing process or I did something wrong
?
