[DRBD-user] network throughput

Note: "permalinks" may not be as permanent as we would like,
direct links of old sources may well be a few messages off.

You must be hitting the upper limit of your RAID sets.
I have three identical drbd devices on top of RAID1 each with 2x10.000
rpm drives and I'm getting 90mB/sec during full sync - about 30
megabytes per second per device.
hosts are connected via Intel PCI-X gigabit ethernet link (which of
course could also be saturated around that speed).
Even when the smaller devices have finished, speed only momentarily
jumps to 50 megabytes per second.

Sounds quite like the speed you'll get from such a setup. Just make sure
that drbd is correctly configured on both nodes (protocol C etc)
