Hello all,

i have two software raid0's paired through drbd-6.12. my mysql database
is stored there.

all was fine until yesterday i lost one of the raided drives on the
primary drbd device. here's what i did:

1. panic. both drbd devices showed need_sync. stopped drbd/heartbeat on
the faulty raid.
2. remove BOTH the drives from the machine (idiot)
3. panic
4. put the good drive back in. found a replacement drive and pop it in.
tried to rebuild the raid, wouldnt rebuild.
5. panic
6. realized i put the drives in wrong bays. switch them around. tried
rebuilding. worked.
7. start heartbeat, secondary device started syncing. noticed that the
raid is rebuilding at 300K/s, realized this is not good. meanwhile,
looked at the data on the rebuilding raid - the database is still there
- but its EMPTY.
8. panic. stop the rebuilding process, put the replacement drive into
another bay - its a 2u chassis. tried rebuilding again - now at 60MB/s.

Great. My question is: where did my data go? what happened to it? the
database itself is there, the tables and all, but its empty. any way to
revive it?

Thank you.
GG
