so I tried upgrading to 0.7.1 as suggested. But I'm still getting
5MB/s performance...

Course it's now displaying the progress of the sync correctly... So
that's is fixed - cool. But its still darn slow.
Jeff: What kind of speeds are you getting on the 3Ware now? It looks
like your setup if pretty close to mine except that I have xeons
instead of athlons.
My syncer rate was set at 1G but I changed it to 100M just to match
what you suggested. Still the same.
