This release is mostly about updating some components, so I will include notable changes from these components here: * DRBD 9.1.13 improves quorum situation around diskless nodes. It also fixes a situation in which a disk would report no quorum because it expects more peers then there are. * LINSTOR 1.20.3 fixes an issue with slow satellites because of pvdisplay blocking on existing DRBD devices. The new chart is available from https://charts.linstor.io. New images are available from drbd.io. The usual upgrade procedure applies: $ helm repo update $ helm upgrade linstor-op linstor/linstor -f orig.yaml An updated User's Guide with detailed instructions is available. For more information, please take a look at the upgrade guide. [1] Source code is, as always, available upstream. If one has disks larger than about 2TB accessing them might not work. If you are using WinDRBD 1.1.4 please upgrade now. The signed installer can be downloaded from the LINBIT website: https://linbit.com/linbit-software-download-page-for-linstor-and-drbd-linux-driver Best regards, - Johannes From johannes.thoma at linbit.com Wed Feb 15 14:11:25 2023 From: johannes.thoma at linbit.com (Johannes Thoma) Date: Wed, 15 Feb 2023 14:11:25 +0100 Subject: [DRBD-announce] WinDRBD 1.1.6 released Message-ID: <787fd448-91f5-c08d-80ab-594d9f8e0f11@linbit.com> Dear WinDRBD Users, I just released a new minor version of WinDRBD. In particular, ReFS as a file system upon a WinDRBD device was fixed (broken since 1.1.0). There is no urgent need to upgrade WinDRBD unless you need some of the features/fixes below. From the WHATSNEW.md file: What's new in version 1.1.6 --------------------------- Updated cygwin DLL and binaries (Feb 3 2023) Add PATH component to programs run by installer. This enables running the installer from a background service. Fixed ReFS support (was broken since 1.1.0, works in 1.0.2) Add ReFS support for existing data partitions (virtual partition table). As always, a signed installer can be downloaded from the LINBIT website: https://linbit.com/linbit-software-download-page-for-linstor-and-drbd-linux-driver Best regards, - Johannes -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... A release candidate for the next feature 1.21 release of linstor is here. Most notable is that Linstor now automatically will add resync-after statements to the drbd configuration (grouped on storage pool). This should help with faster recovery if a whole cluster needs to reboot. And additionally the rs-discard-granularity is also managed based on lsblk's DISC-GRAN output. For all additional changes see below: ## linstor-server ### Added - query-size-info API as a better version of query-max-value-size API - Linstor now automatically sets the resync-after property for drbd resources, grouped by storage pools - Added automatic rs-discard-granularity management based on lsblk's DISC-GRAN ### Changed - Added `zfs list` check for ZFS support to ensure that the zfs-utils are also installed, not just the kmod - Use recommended command sequence for SED initialization and improve error recover ### Fixed - Fixed DRBD size calculations with non-default peer slots - Fixed aborting Snapshot procedure (make sure resume-io is executed) - Fixed AutoSnapshot scheduling bug - Fixed rollback after clearing entire PropsContainers - Fixed that too many concurrent Snapshots led to unnecessarily long suspend-io state - Fixed resource getting activated instead of deactivated in shared-sp https://pkg.linbit.com//downloads/linstor/linstor-server-1.21.0-rc.1.tar.gz Linstor PPA: https://launchpad.net/~linbit/+archive/ubuntu/linbit-drbd9-stack Cheers, Rene -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
