[Csync2] Doesn't make backups

Hi,

I configured csync2 to sync some directories between 2 hosts on my
local network. It works quite good, but *never* creates backups for
modified files. The config file contains:

	backup-directory /var/backups/csync2;
	backup-generations 4;

as described in the documentation. The backup directory exists and is
writable by the user.
Did I miss something?
