tdbbackup seems to make a backup of the tdbs files by creatings files with same name and differente extension. You could probably synch them and then "recover" the tdbs by renaming the backup files. But this must probably happen when samba is not yet running on the destinating system. I mean, it could possibly happen in a fallback before it is fully brought up.
This would need some testing, anyway.
